In this short note I’ll demonstrate this simple process 😉

Today I’ll show you how you can upgrade from Linux Mint 20 to the current latest version, Linux Mint 21.1, using built-in tools, without reinstalling the system.

Historically, most IT documentation has been written in English. It’s quite hard to remember all the terms, but fortunately there are tools that help offset the lack of an extensive vocabulary, especially technical vocabulary.

Today I’ll tell you about an incredibly convenient translator that’s always at hand and able to translate text from anywhere. The only condition is the ability to select text. The program is available for installation on both Windows and Linux

Customizing Linux Mint 20/21 + Nord theme

Greetings!

This post is part of a series about smoothly switching from Windows to Linux. If you missed it, here’s a list of the previous parts:

We continue the gradual transition to free Linux-based operating systems.

To refresh your memory, or in case you missed them, here are two previous articles:

Try Linux right inside Windows

So, we tried Linux Mint 20 in Windows using virtualization technology, then installed it as a second OS side by side with Windows. And now it’s time for the initial setup of the Linux Mint operating system.

Try Linux Right Inside Windows

Greetings!

Today I’ll tell and show you how you can try Linux right inside Windows. To do this, we’ll need to take a few steps, the hardest of which will be entering the UEFI/BIOS.

To run another operating system inside the current one, the so-called virtualization technology is used, hardware support for which is implemented in practically every more or less modern processor. Whether it’s a solution from AMD (AMD-V) or Intel (Intel VT).
