📝 About the Blog
Raven’s Blog is my personal project where, in my free time, I publish materials on topics that interest me. Most often, these are materials on Linux and Open source, as well as IT-related topics and a little bit of personal musings (it is, after all, a personal blog). I don’t consider myself an expert, but simply share my modest experience in IT and communicate with people who share my views on certain issues☝️.
I’ve long wanted to run something like this, but I never dared. And then one day, I was studying docker technology, which required installing WordPress. After successfully launching this CMS, the idea of realizing my long-standing dream came to mind.
I was also inspired by two old-school bloggers👨💻👨💻 for the theme of a personal blog: Alexey Alv Fedorchuk (alv.me) and Vladimir Zerox (serveradmin.ru).
The main “entry point” is my website 🔗r4ven.me.
Raven’s Blog contains many materials about operating systems based on the Linux kernel and the software running on them (primarily open source), both desktop and server. The materials consist of notes, instructions, recommendations, and selected news. For more details, see the “categories” page or check out the useful Roadmap.
My thoughts, judgments, and other musings are in the “Lyrics” section. The “Interesting from the Web” section is updated with various recommendations: YouTube videos, interesting articles, links to sources, etc. The “Pictures” section is separated – here I post various images, be it desktop wallpapers or just art.
I think it’s clear now why it’s a “blog,” but why “Raven’s”? The answer to this question is outlined on a separate page: Why Raven?
When preparing materials for the website and Telegram, I try to find a balance so that the topics discussed are interesting to both advanced users and beginners🧑💻.
If you have just started actively studying Linux and you liked my blog, then for a better understanding of future content, I recommend familiarizing yourself with the materials on the Roadmap🛣 page. The page is constantly updated and always accessible from the site menu. It categorizes past materials that I actively reference in my articles/notes.
You might also find it useful to look into the IT Theory📚 section.
Just so you know, I write the articles myself☝️, but I use AI as an assistant or for some routine tasks. Like everyone else these days🤷♂️.
Despite this, I meticulously, painstakingly, and repeatedly check all commands and the algorithm of actions✍️. So that the reader can reproduce something similar by simply following the steps one by one🚶♂️.
💬 Telegram Channel and Chat
It’s also worth mentioning that I run a namesake Telegram channel📱. You can find out about all new posts on the website there.
You can also always ask questions about the website materials in the Raven’s Chat🧐. To the best of my skills and knowledge, I will definitely make time and try to help you. Other chat participants also regularly and voluntarily join in solving various tasks😇.
In this same chat, you can freely suggest your own topic for discussion, preferably within the channel’s theme😀.
But(!) before any communication, it is imperative to familiarize yourself with the community rules of the blog.
Overall, nothing fundamentally new or extraordinary. A simple informational resource with a raven on the site icon👨💻.
Thank you for your interest in the blog😌 and have a pleasant time😀.
That should be it. If not, check the logs 🙂
